A Psalmist (duxrow) wrote in bible_study,
A Psalmist

1. God breathed into Adam, Gen2:7, and he became a living soul.

2. Jesus breathed on his apostles, Jhn20:22, and they became life giving spirits.

3. Now it's available for any whosoever to receive the "god breathed word", 2Tim3:16, for themself!

"All scripture is given by inspiration (theo-pneustos) of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.." KJV

I would like to add:

The words for wind, breath, and the Holy Spirit are all actually the same word in Hebrew and Greek.

You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again.' The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."
John 3:7-8

This is also a "play on words", and that whole part of the chapter plays on that, too. Breath, wind, and Spirit, it could have been translated any of those ways... it's the same word :)
Agree to that comment and also about #2, Jesus told them (after he 'breathed' on them) to receive the Holy Ghost.   Doesn't sound like a pretty-please option to me...
i'm god breathed!!
Right! So receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
